    Default Extractors

Im looking at gettins some extractors put on to my caprice soon, and im just curious as to how much it will effect sound volume wise, ive already got a 2.5" with front and rear mufflers on it, will it make it slightly louder or much louder?

It will make it noticably louder.

extractors will make it louder and deeper, best extractors on a V6 ive heard are pacemakers. rest are crap..just sayin

I had a redback 2.5" with the muffler and resonator, other then the droning at 100kp/h (wish I had gone 2 1/4") it is quite quiet, and after I put the pacies on I noticed no different to how loud it was, was deeper though.

thanks for the info, if it makes a deeper note thatd be great, but sound wise if its slightly or noticably louder, either way id be happy with it, was looking at getting pacemakers with 1 3/4" primarys and 2" outlets

well looks like this plan has failed, my caprice being a series 3, had to have a variable steering pump and full round bell-housing, extractors wont fit unless i wanna spend 1.5-1.6k on a custom built set

I can do a set that fits the series 3 ute, same engine and transmission, but I can't guarantee they will fit the Statesman.
