Mine was a VR commodore with 300,000 on it but still in awesome condition on the road for $4grand. I got it at the start of year 12 and could drive to school for the the whole second half of the year. It was about the best car at anyone at school had except for this kid with a V8 falcon but he kept stacking it so it didn't look too good. Its the best feeling ever when your 18 having a crowd of people looking over your beast after saving up for years and paying cash for it.
Funny thing is it was only 8 years ago but nearly no one got loans for first cars back then and if they did it was usually less than $5k. Heaps more people drove $500 telstars and that sort of thing. Its so different now. I worked with a guy who was working part time and still in high school and the finance company let him get a $19k XR6. My first car would get laughed at rocking up to school nowdays.
My first (and current) ride, Dad's old VT.
When I got it 2 years ago it had around 400,000km on it (got about 60,000 more now). Plenty of things that needed fixing, and plenty that still do. It's in my sig if you wanna look at it. Been doing some work to it, hopefully get a few nicer pics soon.

Good car, no power steering(some guy assured me he could drive it, then when he got done driving it he was like "how the hell do you drive that thing?", I reminded him that I warned him), needed arms of steel to get it to turn, radio couldn't save channels, etc etc. Head gasket ended up blowing or something and I just abandoned it. Looking back, I should've fixed it up....owell.
