I've noticed a lot of threads where people have VE's and V6's for their first cars.
Was i deprived? My first car was a 1990 Nissan Micra. It had a 0.9l engine, 4 gears, 1 wing mirror (it's wasn't missing one, it only came with one as new), 1 speaker and only radio.
It looked just like this (except below has the luxury of 2 wing mirrors) -
To be fair though it only cost me £250 and lasted me about 12 months. What was your first car, was anyone's worse than mine?

Funny though I owned this then a Isuzu space cab now the VS commodore. Nissan pulsar/Holden astra. Isuzu space cab/Holden rodeo.

I did search and all i got was people asking advice on getting their first car, people showing off their said VE / V6 first car and people saying they crashed their first car.

Haha seems alot of people are getting ve's now but hey times change blah blah blah blah . My parents used to say" I couldn't afford a car I had to borrow my dads".I as an apprentice (started at 15) rode my pushie until I got my p's. Shortly after I bought a 97 hilux. Which was my baby for a couple of years and I moved away from 4wd's and into commodores.

It went plenty fast. blew flames out the exhaust when you backed off at 140km/h :P only ever did that once, never again.

Datto 120y ... Bought it for $700 when I was 17. Sold it for $500 3 years later, was still running solid, tough as nails those old dattos !!
My 1995 VS Berlina was my first car, still have it, just can't drive it while i'm on my P-Plates because I fitted a supercharged V6.

My first ever driven car was a VN commodore that I bought from my Uncle for $300, spent $1000 to get it running after damaging the fuel tank trying to fix the fuel pump. Had low compression in one cylinder, Had 4 different tyres. Sold it for $900 shortly after to make way for my VR.
since then I heard how it was doin 'twinies' with ease.. and even coped a speeding fine. they sold it.. and everytime I saw it.. it was at the police station with defect notices... saw it 3 different times.. before it disappeared..

Six months later, '94 VR Exec wagon.

First car - vn v6 manual Still got it recently yellowed after 12 years
Second car - same as above but smacked into a large stationary object at pace
Third car - crappy rb gemini
Forth car - 1990 lexcen (swapped the rb for it) Blew up 2 days later
Fifth car - vr bt1 sold for 2 grand profit
sixth car - tata telcoline freebie pos now dead and sold
Seventh car - 1981 vh 253 wagon
Eigth car - 2006 st-r navara
Then there was bulk cars that i have parted out inbetween, if you want numbers ask greenvn, he has most of the build plates
first car when i got my ps after having my ls for 3 years , was an ef fairmont ghia i loved it had exhaust lowered head work bigger cam cai bigger tb tint mags , fastest in albury back then...i swapped my bmx for it, then hit 19 lost my job couldnt afford fuel for a 4.4 ltre swapped fora silvia wich wash the biggest piece of shit in the world, that saying only juice and milk comes in 2ltr , should stay that way...that died in sydney and i got a chrysler neon , 2 months later that died.... so went back to fords since it was great at first lol picked it up for 900 spent 3k engine died....bought a tt toyota soarer and swapped that for the bombadore ....so far in the last 2 years its lasted the longest , besides this stalling problem...

well my first car was actually a pretty tidy VL, then i destroyed it with all the usual young dumb car mods, now that i look back on it its pretty embarrasing haha,
but was an Auto N/A RB30, had extractors and a single 2.5in catback, minispool and it actually went alright for what it was, 2nd gear burnouts on limiter with ease lol
but the shell was rough, the rear gaurds were pressure packed with touch up paint from belt slap, numberplate was mounted off to the side for awesome "hectikness bro" ;-) and a cheap autobahn bonnet scoop lol... glad i got some class and actually learn how to make a car look good, but it was good for a thrasher.
