Well I don't and WON'T use Bosch spark plugs. I'm not sure what the platinum are like, but for standard plugs, IMO Bosch are crap.
I use NGK BPR6EFS15. I try to change them every 20,000. Although they should last up to 40,000, at least. I only change them at 20,000 because they are not an expensive part, bit like filters, etc.

Stick with factory leads and plugs and you will be ok. The leads you posted seem OK. Wouldn't waste my time with the plugs.

I wouldn't think you'd notice much power increase or anything. If your plugs are old, then just replacing them with new standard ones will obviously make your engine run as it should, possibly slightly more efficiently too. Platinum plugs are, IMO, more for engines that require a fair bit of effort to change them, such as the Alloytec. That's why they last up to 80,000 odd k's.
As for leads, Top Gun are a good buy for the cost, at around $60-$80, depending where you get them. Or whatever your Holden dealer sells you as genuine, if you choose to go through them.

Are the BPR6EFS-15 the go? I used bosch platinum 40 000km ago, starting to get a bit of a miss if I plant it on low revs, spark plugs are dirty.

Sweefu, personally I just use standaard NGK BPR6EFS15. I havn't used Bosch plugs for ten to fifteen years. I think on my VY, on the radiator shroud where it gives details of timing setting and emission control, etc it shows the plugs as being NGK.

Don't waste your money on expensive plugs. There a gimmick when it comes to performance. As said if you don't have a car with hard to reach plugs just stick with standards.

Changed my mind, going to try the genuine plugs, have to be reasonable if they came from factory, I'll just change them again in 20k.
