I was just wondering how many people on here have a column shift and bench seat. I have one it is why I purchased it as I have four kiddos so now the whole family fits in the car.
Am I the only one on here with a bench seat?
Possibly.............loooool.....I do know, though, if you change from a bench seat to buckets you have to take the central seat-belt out....and same the other way.....AND you have to get a new Compliance plate as well........
I'm curious, whereabouts does the column shift fit on the steering column?
Is it above, below, behind or in front of the wiper stick?
I dont have a wiper stick on the column it is on the left side of the instrument panel.
i've seen a vs ute with bench, it had the normal indicator / wiper stalks with the shift on the colum behind the wiper switch
attn Über geeks, i play Second life. Patrio Graysmark.
I also own a hg kingswood. (along with my vx) and it has bench seat and three on the tree
Keeping an old thread alive!
Ive got one on my VP colum auto, its good for that extra seat!
If all else fails HIT IT WITH A HAMMER !
Country Ute.
Funny i saw a VP Wagon today with 3 people in the seat, did not even know they existed till today lol
My dad has a BF ute with a bench seat. Middle seat folds down and has cup holders on the back. Stays that way most the time as its a pretty tight squeeze to fit 3 people in.
Have owned 2 cars with bench seats. My first car was an EH Holden with bench seat and 3 speed manual column shift. Then later on I had a HQ again with a column shift, auto this time.
The EH never had seat belts and back then when my parents owned it (they gave it to me when they upgraded) they used to have up to 4 of us in the back seat (me, my sister and 2 of my friends) and my little brother in the front between them. Wouldn't get away with it these days.
