hi guys just wondering if head bolts are interchangeable from 253 308 to efi 304 and are they reusable

always use new head bolts as they are torque to yeild meaning the bolts streach once up to torque.

but if you use ARP head studs im pretty sure they are reusable (someone correct me if im wrong)

blah whatever. they are all interchangable as the only length difference is huge. i have reused head bolts thousands of times. run a thread chaser in the threads and run the wire wheel over the bolts so they are spotless. dont forget to reapply thread sealer to the threads that go into your water jackets.

but yeah best practise is to buy new ones, but we cant all afford the 150 bucks for a new set every time we take the heads off.
