car receipt

sorry to post this but tomorrow i am going to see a vk that i will most likley buy. and i don't know what to put as a receipt
it is not registered
i dont even have my learners yet
it is two different colors black on one side and white on the other
and it has heaps of parts and two engines a V8 that is in it and the original 6 that only around 70.000 k's on it
and i will be puting the 6 back in it since i will be on my p's in the future
i am in QLD

so can anybody help with a receipt template ?

do i put both of the engines numbers on it ?

I've always written it on the receipt just in case. You can never be too careful.

QLD is the same. search car history in google, type in the VIN, pay $32.95 and you recieve the complete car history. Written off status, encumberance and all.

Does not matter where you buy the car the receipt should ALWAYS have the words SOLD FREE OF ALL ENCUMBERANCE.
Those few words saved me $2900 in 1991

Don't have to worry about engine numbers, as long as you have the VIN number and everything else listed in post #2.

i dunno how you boys do it in other states, but a piece of paper saying that it is unencumbered is just that: a piece of paper. if you dont check with vicroads, you dont have a leg to stand on.

Definitely check for moneys owed on it, just not worth the hassles because the bank will get first pick and youll be left with sweet faaarrk all.

then his and mine signature
and whiteness signature

should i just add the VIN when i get the car in a couple of days

he has a copy of the receipt and it was hand written out

I would have made sure the VIN and both engine numbers were on it. But that's just me.
