No such thing as too low. Bagged?

VY-VZ's look amazing without a spoiler and dumped.

Obviously you've donated your kidneys to science. Because if you haven't, driving around that low is going to fk them quick smart.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, too low. It's virtually an under-ground.

Though I must point out, I like cars pumped up high in the back.

If it's bagged then it looks nice and clean, if that's how low you drive it then I'd hate to see you drive over anything but a nice flat even road.

Looks nice, though it'd be nicer 2inch higher in the arse, choice of wheels good and without the spoiler is great.

haha okok i fooled you guys! time to kill the thread now, its photoshopped.. at one stage i wanted to bag it to get it that low.. but everyone has it now so its kind of old fashioned and gay

heres the original of the first photo(sat on the brakes abit) and the second one is just how it sits normally, standard springs at the back and lows at the front, was wondering if i put sl all round would it be too low to be legal?

    cheers

Is there some reason why all the young guys want looooooow and all the older guys dont?

Maybe its because the older guys have been there, done that, and realised their mistake. No upside, lots of downsides. Standard height handles just as well, doesnt take chunks off your tyres every time you hit a bump with a mate in the back seat, and doesnt need constant nose repairs every time you drive over a coke can or up a driveway.

If the nose cant clear the little concrete barriers at the front of carparks, its too low IMO. Your car is low enough already.

As to whether it looks good.. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A yank ledsled's whole look is based on low, so on a ledsled sure it looks good..

Those cars are all bagged or hydraulic rammed though..they can raise the suspension too. They dont usually drive with the car scraping along the ground (though some of them have bash plates and deliberately drop the suspension occasionally for a few secs while driving just to see the sparks).

Unless you are going with bags, you are stuck with a car you cant take anywhere without damaging it if you lower it too much. Just my opinion.

I prefer rake to low. An inch lower at the front, an inch higher at the back would suit me just fine. And I HATE the invisible caravan look, please everyone stop lowering the rear !

I'm a youngen and I haven't dropped it crazily low, I agree if you can't drive it around without being terrified of scraping on everything then it's pointless.

As for the inch lower at the front...I guess thats ok it is how they come out of the factory most of the time to give that stance but I like mine even.

Yeah dakster you have a point but my intention of lowering it is to make it sit abit more even.. maybe just 1-1.5cm lower which is not that much if u think about it, i like the look of the first photo but like some people stated its obviously too low unless you just keep it in your driveway and i wouldnt do that too my car seeing as i dont want the whole chopped springs in a vn look-.-

My problem is that if i put sl all round it still wont sit even due to the fact that i have 3 subs in the boot with 2 amps a drycell and dynomat ect, i was thinking maybe kings sl in the front and just lows in the back, anybody done this to their car?

Arent you just changing the length of the spring to do that? If your boot is heavy, get springs that are designed to handle the weight. Then the suspension will not only sit correctly, but work correctly.
