    Default replacing CAS in VS Commodore

    Has anyone got any detailed instructions on how to replace the CAS is a VS commodore?

    You should invest in a workshop manual like a gregorys etc. They have all the details and info you need including pics to make things easier for the inexperienced DIY'er.. .
    You first need to remove the serpentine belt. Remove the harmonic balancer bolt. Then use a harmonic balancer puller tool to remove the balancer. Then you just remove the plastic shield, unplug the wiring on the old CAS, unbolt the old CAS and remove it. Put the new CAS on and bolt it in position. Its a fixed position so doesnt need adjusting like some older V6 commys needed, plug in the new CAS, then just push on the plastic shield, line up and push on the balancer as far as you can by hand, then fit the bolt and tighten it up which will pull the balancer on properly as its tightened up. The balancer pulley bolt needs to be tightened up to the following specs. 270- 325 Nm. (181 -218 Lb/Ft)
