using lcd touch screen as head unit?

There are already touch screen head units availible, that the LCD slides out and its a DVD player ETC, think clarion?? does it

yeh, all the big brands do them nowadays, very expensive though, ebay is good for cheap units that do it. you can get fold out units and double din size units (twice the height of 1 cd player)

well, all the big brands, clarion, pioneer, kenwood i know are damn expensive, around 2-4grand, but im not sure what the ebay ones are like.

kenwwod have one for just under 2 grand... really nice one tho

You could get a lilliput one from eBay and chuck a 12V PC in the boot. Fantastic system and very cheap if you know where to get the parts. Could even whack a wireless lan card in it so you can update your car music as long as you are parked in the driveway.

Now that would be SWEET!

I have not heard any negative comments about the Lilliput LCDs. They should be quite good quality, and unbeatable price.
