VN - 15.7 sec - 125kw

From what I've seen that's a manual time, stock or relatively (Exhaust/CAI) auto's hang around the 16-16.2 mark.

Interesting all the same, good one Jase

Cheers

The ECOTEC went through a few minor changes after the VS for the VT. The latest in Bosch fuel injection system was installed and alterations in exhaust manifold. The steel fuel rail was also changed, mostly for reliability.

what they don't tell you when they run 1/4 mile times is that sometimes to get down to those times you need to leave the line with smoke coming off the wheels, not always possible on the road. always

also doesn't matter for commodores, but doing 1/4 miles in an AWD car is brutal, it really hurts the driveline

Maybe you guys can work this out. One of my mates just bought a completely stock VN Commodore automatic. Whats quicker between this and a VL 5 speed manual 3.0L with full 2 1/2 in. exhaust, heavy duty clutch and cold air induction (over 400m) ?

i'm assume you weren't being sarcastic.. yeah they do. i have occasionally worked a Correvit (measures speed, time, distance) for road testers and you don't need to be a professional racing driver to work out that the quickest way off the line is usually a bit of wheelspin to keep the engine on song.

you won't get the same time taking off cleanly from the lights.

I'd go as far as to say the vl might have him. Go to the quarter and find out.

A quick n/a vl can reel in high 15's low 16's.
