    Default Insurance OMG - AGAIN...

Ok, just spoken to AAMI after being advised by another member that they won't insure LS1's for under 30 year old drivers...

Quite true... and possibly ALL V8's... I asked about VT Series 1 clubsport, VS Series II SS, and VK Group A SS - and no way, will not insure me for any of them (and this was trying to get insurance with 3 years full comp already, NO suspensions, no theft, no claims etc, also NO modifications AT ALL) and they still wouldn't go there...

This is the most annoying farked up shite ever... And to think I was looking forward to turning 25 because of these tossers...

Oh well, time to ring around the other majors and see if I get a similar response...

Umm I am 24 I own a VT SS Series II 5.7L and I am with NRMA. Which is the only insurance I could find to insure me at the age of under 25.

big excess, big premium, pay whole amount up front, only do agreed value (purchase price), have to cover your own research for repairer, legals, etc when/if you need to make a claim... no thanks...

Justcar and Shannons are good options, if under 25, or have less than perfect driving history or insurance history, but really, over 25, no claim history, no
suspensions, no accidents and 3 years previous comp insurance, should not have to go to these lengths and costs to insure a V8.

Just got quoted $1600 from NRMA... pricey, but at least they'll cover, and that was the most expensive out of querying a VTII R8, VTII Clubby, VXII Calais V8 with mods: Exhaust, lowering and chip, Sweet...

Anyway, all comes down to selling my car first anyway! :P
