I guess a lot of drug dealers think they are so smart that you won't find their hidden stash.

You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
alot of people who run drugs up and down qld have the best places to hide it lol, like taken out the cd player and stashed sum there, in subs, under bumpers, quite creative! and dunno bout in nsw but in qld they cant arrest you or search you without reason
One would think the fact that they suspect you are running drugs would be a quite adequate reasonOriginally Posted by gocommygo
How about we leave the expert advice here to the experts, things are done a whole lot differently here to what they do on these american cop shows![]()
It depends on the officer, That shits me.Originally Posted by Serving Police Member

I got pulled up last year for having after market fogs on my old VN.
I told the officer that my step dad has the same VY SS as he did and can he have them on.
he told me that they will not chase you down but will fine you if they are on during a RBT ect.
I now have a SS kit opn my VT and i have my fogs on 100% of my driving time.
Got pulled for a RBT twice in the last 2 weeks and the cops staired staright at them and didnt say a thing.
I dont believe that a cop should have the power to just think up an offence because he's having a bad day, it should be in black and white for the offender to read for him/her self and be explained before the officer writes out the fine.
I think we should all be issed with a little black book of offences and if the offence isnt in there then you shouldn't be fined.
Not what ever the cops feeling like at the time
Thats my opinion

Not that I have em on all the time, but I think there's a time & place for them.
Have a go at this post by a guy called Wombat:
Alert: Proposed New National Road Rules & Amendments
He hates them with a passion, but I still dunno why. Ive NEVER been startled or annoyed by foglights coming the other way - day or night.
As for the rules being in black & white, I understand what you're saying, but it works both ways. By not having to follow a clear, distinct set of "black & white" rules, a copper can also show leniancy and let you off...![]()

id really like to know how big in wheels can u go on a vs commodore ive been told the usal 2 plus inches so that meens 17 inch, but have also been told plus 2 on the biggest size wheel of that model which was the ss, which had 17 so that means i can go 19s? not that i would though but would be good to know
in vic, from what i can understand, wheel size doesnt matter, its total overalll tyre diameter cant be more than 25mm or less than 15mm or somewhere around those amounts from original sizes. and width is a similar thing.
But then on the other hand they can have had a real bed day and decide to take it all out on you.Originally Posted by davey g-force
I just dont think that the decision should be totaly up to the officer at the time but up to a set standard of written laws for the PUBLIC to see.
Not the little black book that the cops bend

Can I ask, I have noticed with the Highway Patrol Officers that they have their own driving style. Like in a good way, I am always amazed on how smooth and brisk they are when they are driving around. Like you watch a HWP car do a U-Turn, they do it differently to any other normal driver. As if they which I suppose they have done advanced driving courses but as if they have full driving control and ability to make a car what they want to do.
Is this true or maybe I am seeing things when I watch HWP driving around?
Thanks,
Yours Kindly,
Jim
Realistically, your speedo shouldn't be out at all. If you suspect your speedo is out by 10% you should be going 10% slower eg. 90km/h instead of 100. My vehicle is out about 5km/h on the slower side so if I'm doing 105km/h I'm really only doing 100.Originally Posted by chevy_big_block_bro
Police do allow for a degree of error, so if your doing 120km/h, police will generally always put you down as doing <15km/h over rather than 15-30. It's very hard to fight this in court, if you try then the judge is likely to tell you to cop it on the chin and get your speedo fixed.
I have had plenty of people use that as an excuse, but thats all it is, an excuse, it doesn't exempt you from getting a ticket.
agreed, its YOUR responsibility to keep your car in tip top shape, so you shouldnt have a speedo thats out, not hard...Originally Posted by pacey
You are right, HWP can handle a vehicle alot better then any normal driver or GD Officer. Plus they are better equipped.Originally Posted by 2Fast2FuriousDude

I have heard that P platers have appealed to the court to get their licences back within the suspension period. (Don't quote me on this, it could be just another rumour). P Platers are licence holders too, although restricted, so they should have the same rights as full licence holders. Thats my opinion anyway.
yes, well in qld anyway you can write a letter to get your licence back (for eg work, etc) a guy i know got a 6 month suspension then got a job for which he needed a car, wrote in and got his licence back, unsure of the rules on his licence or w/e though.Originally Posted by pacey
Ive heard this happen in vic more so for country people, whereas they are allowed to drive to and from work only, if they are caught breaking this another fine and longer loss of licence is incurred. Never seen it appen in the city though, nor heard of it.Originally Posted by gocommygo
I agree here, if you get caught, cop it on the chin, admit you were speeding and you usally walk away with a warning, or a reduction in the alledged/actual speed. Sometimes its stiff and you get the panlty for what you were doing.Originally Posted by pacey
in WA you can apply for a EXTRAORDINARY license if you lose your license and need to go to work and back.Originally Posted by minux
you need to carry a E plate which is yellow and black but am not sure the penalties if you get caught.
not sure if they would let a P Plater apply for this type though
That whole concept is EXTRAORDINARYOriginally Posted by DeanoVT
whats the colour of a two cent piece???
jokes lol
seriously now why would having an E plate be any different than going back onto your P's??????
ive never even heard of E plates....
They have conditions on them, like you can usually only drive with them to and from work - or whatever other condition you have had it approved for.Originally Posted by boona15
so a work license basically
Yeah, and they're pretty hard to get too... you have to have EXTRAORDINARY circumstances for one to be granted.![]()
