LOL, well I guess they decided they wouldn't be prejudice that day. Oh and make sure your tint doesn't exceed the allowed 60% (I think that is the percentage your allowed, I'll have to check up on that)Originally Posted by hakhawk

yeh, ive been told i cant have anything on front window, front doors can have 35%, and rear doors and cargo area, incl. tailgate window can be anything, even black. this was from tint professor when i got a quote for pricing.
it would be good to know exactly though. id be happy with decent tint on front doors and very dark on rear doors and tailgate/cargo area, because i have subs and amps in rear, would like to conceal them as much as possible without totally covering them
Spot on with the tint levels, althought it looks stupid having different tint on the rear doors.Originally Posted by hakhawk

Selling FG G6E Turbo and buying a N/A Supra
i got a wagon remember, so rear doors and cargo area will be same level, so it should even it out.
Nah, it'll still look out of wack, butthats just me, I like perfectionOriginally Posted by hakhawk

how bout stickers on the front windscreen?
ok, quick, crappy photochop, used a black layer over windows, 1st is 35% front, 70% rear
second is 35% all round.
i dunno, i like the dark rear, but maybe more 50% instead of 70.
oh, and see in my tailgate, how the brake light there is missing, whats the go with that?
is it, if it comes factory, do i hvae to have it there, or is it if its there and not working, it has to work?
just ive seen some of the earlier vn wagons with none from factory, so can i get away with not having it?
Yeh put a holden one on so you always remember what your driving, you could just forget....Originally Posted by Jordo1

LOL, I have a 1m Holden Sticker across my windscreen...My father told me I might as well put my name in large letters across the back in case I forgot my name as well.Originally Posted by minux
I just had a look at the pics, take into consideration your P Plates (if you still plan on using the window stick on ones) as I've stopped and spoken to alot of P Platers because their P Plates were barely visible especially at night because of the dark tint. If your in NSW it'll cost you about $70 and 2 points off your licence for "not displaying P Plates" (P Plates must be 'clearly' visible from a reasonable distance). For those who are fully licenced or P Platers who use those spac plate holders that make your car look so spac that looking at it would make you have a spac attack, disregard what I just said..... There are also black sheep and dodgy drivers everywhere, that kill themselves and others every day, don't go blaming the road. That's like saying I pointed a gun at myself and pulled the trigger and it went off, and then having a whinge cos you didn't check to see if it was loaded. There are only two excuses that will ever sit with me and that is your car 'shat' itself ie something broke, or it was the other guy's fault.Originally Posted by DeanoVT

Guys, btw the speed estimate thing is actually an assessable component of the Highway Patrol Course in NSW. You have to consistently get within 5 km's per hour...
You could be charged with speed or manner damgerous, purely based on the officer's evidence to this point. Any police officer with two stripes has been in at least 5 years. A HWY Officer with two stripes has completed academic study in regards to this issue and has 5 years field experience, therefore is considered an expert witness in court. And unless you have another expert who was there, then you might have problems. They will pull out the officers assessment sheets and show their proficiencey in this area if required. Trust me I've seen it happen.
I've done this for a guy who I estimated at 120 across the Anzac Bridge in Sydney, coming towards me. I told him that I had estimated his speed well in excess of the posted speed limit 70 km's, and
I said, do you know how fast you were going?
He said, No.
I said, do you want a ticket for neg drive or for speeding.
He said, why neg drive?
I said, becasue I think its negligent that you don't know how fast you were going ESPECIALLY when you were speeding!
He then told me he was doing 140k/h.
At that time I wasn't in HWY and I was really just having a stab at it. However he got a speeding ticket for exceed speed less than 45k. If anyone thinks that's harsh you should ring him and tell him not to dob on himself...
He took that to court also, and got an increased fine and court costs...
Having a question over one person's evidence against another does not establish that there is no Prima Face Evidence...
Prima Face is established prior to any individual evidence being given... (for the dude that looks like Carl Barron with a tan)
rofl, what a wanker(the driver in the above)
Thanks for the brackets...![]()

That reminds me of a guy I pulled up whilst doing RBT, I heard a long screeching of tyres at a roundabout and saw this car coming towards me so I pulled it over, went up to the driver and said "Now tell me what you just did wrong up there"
He Said "I was speeding"
I said "What else"
He Said "I didn't indicate"
I said "And"
He said "I burned a bit of rubber coming around the roundabout"
I thought I'd push my luck and asked "Is there anything else you want to tell me"
He said "Umm, yeah I don't have my licence on me"
I only expected him to tell me about the burnout. I was that shocked with his honesty (or stupidity) that after I checked him out I let him go with a warning.
I love it when idiots like that make things so easy for us...
Honesty usually comes with a discount too...
But most guys/gals don't realise that!
Thats true.Originally Posted by helly

If I get a fine or something and I know Ive done something wrong, then I'll cop it on the chin. Usually I'll get let off with a warning and I'll learn my lesson - so its a win-win situation for both parties.
It should (and usually does) work both ways though. If the copper sees you're not a smart arse or a stupid hoon, he should show a little leaniancy...
We call it the Attitude Test. I hate writing out tickets.... but am more than willing to do so if a driver fails this test.Originally Posted by davey g-force

So i dare say alot of middle eastern men around the sydney area fail this with their eyes closed?Originally Posted by pacey
Its disgusting how you see these people talking to police on the news
can you answer my earlier question above please.Originally Posted by 235rwkw
one of my pet hates is unfair execution of law, some can some can't. also i want to colour my fog lights blue again so they blend into the cars colour. i like blue. had them done once before but got a warning. bit of a bugger, used to find everyone moved out of my way whe nthey were on they didn't flash or anything!.... police use one red one blue flashing up high so don't look like cops lights, these are very low. also stops them being so damn bright. if truck can why can't i?
They arent allowed to run blue lights, no one except emergency vehicles(ambo fire police paramedics etc) are allowed to have forward facing blue red and one other color which evades me atm. If they are on the side of a vehicle they must not be seen from certain angles standing from the front and so forth.
There is a whole section on the ADR requirements of colored globes from front rear sides etc etc
that colour which evades you is green.Originally Posted by minux
