Buying a VR11

G Day Guys
Just registered and would you believe never owned a Holden in my life

Had about 20 bikes though,anyhows i have been offered a vr11 exec commodore,220 000 ks on the clock for $2500. Is this a good buy (she who must be obeyed wants a car

and i'm sick of the winging)

Also anything to look out for ? Not a total n00b as i'm pretty mechanical,just hate getting my hands dirty

$2500 is quite cheap in my opinion mate, but you've gotta ask your self why its so cheap ? Just do the usual checks and take her for a teest drive etc..

220 000 is just run in ....... its a steel if its ok. power steering can be noisy front wheel bearings will give a grinding sound in side car. check the boot in the spare wheel well 4 rust and most important check the oil for water it will be milky if it has had water in it.. then check the water for oil. if it is a auto pull the dipstick out and check its colour and smell it. if the auto oil is burnt u will know itt stinks real bad.....real bad. smell the power steer oil as well its the same stuff good luck

Well i picked it up today,gotta say im impressed,goes like the clappers !
Might have to find HER a little mazda or similar an keep this for me.
