proberly the best CAI idea
after i made my CAI on my vl i was thinking of ways to make it more affective and i was thinking about the A/c system, if there was some way to add another cooler element into the a/c sytem it could decrease the air temp more, inside of the air intake box put a element in there so that when ur running the engine it suckd cool air in the engine making it run better and more efficiant,
but is there a point where if the air gets to cool it gets worse like hot air is?
and i know its far fetchd but its just a crazy idea.
or liquardnitrongen could work (bit price though)

Cooling happens by forcing a certain compressed gas through a small space. Like when you blow on food to make it cool down.. same kinda principle. So you couldn't just hook up an element in there to cool the air down. The only way you could use the A/C would be to route the A/C'd air into wherever it needs to go, but I don't know if that could even work. But having the A/C on takes power from the belt, so you'd be losing power (only a little) from that anyway, negating the benefits of CAI.
My 2 cents anyway.. =P

just not worth it in the end, I don't think the aircon would be able to keep up with the amount of air that your car would need to be consuming.
you can always get dry ice intake type setups. but once again, hardly worth it.

i've heard of it being done to wrx, but it means losing inside ac. another option would be 2nd ac system but running the second compressor would lose as much power as you gain

Nothing at all. The type off cooling your wanting (Transfusion?!) needs a certain ammount of surface space to cool down the ammount of air rushing into the engine, especially at WOT. I don't know where l read it but the ammount of surface area required is bigger then what could fit in the engine bay! Here is a pic:

Then again...
This site is showing some big improvements and they're method works alot better then what is pictured above. They're method is a type of heatsink, which makes sense in my mind.
