Depends on what year.
The older early 90's are SOHC I think, so they'd revv lower than the 2000+ DOHC models.
A lot of DOHC motors red line around 7.
That's for the 3 cyl 989cc motors, the 4 cyl 1300cc motors are different.
Try looking it up on google or read the owners manual.

If you are serious. 1989 - 1995 1.3 4cyl 16valve SOHC redline starts at 6500 and they will easily rev to 7500. I believe there is a cut out at 7600 but I could be wrong.
Don't laugh at the 16v as they can surprise you as they are just as quick if not quicker than a Suzuki GTI of the same vintage at 9.02 seconds to 100km/h and the 400m in 16.3. Quicker than some stock Commodores and down my way VL owners hated them because they couldn't keep up (in stock form).
If it doesn't have a tacho it's gotta be a 3cyl then take it to 20000+ The more you blow up the better as 37kw is about as powerful as my lawnmower.
Sorry, no idea what the 1.0litre redlines at.
I will try and find my old owners manual and see if it lists the 3cyl

Mate we really dont care about your charade or your reason for having it.
Second stock for stock the R32 vs a GTO would be close.
If you want to know about your charade im sure there is dihatsu forums.

We'll your living up to your handle there bud ! But I think you missed the point... How many people here do you think can give you advice on a Diahatsu ?... The biggest percentage of members here drive a HOLDEN.... like AirStrike said I'm sure there's a Diahatsu forum somewhere to ask questions...

I don't get it. A Commodore owner asks a question about another car he owns, what's the problem?
It's only a single post and there has got to be many members who have owned or own cars other than Commodores that may assist. I know as we all know this "is" a Commodore forum.
Yes he could probably join a Daihatsu Forum but this forum may have helped him in the past with his VS, hence the question.
Just don't answer the post or advise him to join another forum without the unnecessary extra comments.
I've seen quite a few posts regarding Non-Commodores in the past with plenty of replies offering assistance.
The atmosphere here is changing.

Yeah your right Pretender the atmosphere is getting very bitey... All I make is a comment...trying to be amusing... I cop alot a flack back... **** everyone's getting so bitchey around here i dont think I'll stick around much longer... people stick there car up and ask for comments...yet the cant handle any constructive critisism...and go off in a tantrum...or someone just joins so they can flame another poster for expressing their view...I don't think I'm going to stick around much longer the way it's heading.

I've asked about other cars here before although it was in the car audio section it doesn't matter what he is driving now he owns a commo, he loves his VS and wants to thrash a daihatsu for a while. Let the fella put a tach in it if he wants, better than putting it in the VS LOL.
Which GTO are you talkin about? HSV or pontiac?
