Sorry, my mistake... I thought you would know what a valve is. Here's a hint, you can't see it from lifting your bonnet and taking a pic. Yes, they put a rocker cover on with Holden written on it, but all the internal parts are branded with the Nissan logo... well at least both of mine did when I rebuilt them.

It was a passing comment... a joke... no need to get all defensive about it. The VL engine was one of the best engines they ever put in a Commodore, but it's still a Nissan motor.

yeah cant ppl think of any decent polls to post just posting for posting sake bit sad really, but for this lame poll i think chev badges are fine. If its a chev motor and you like the badges buy them and put them on, if you dont thats fine too. I had them on mine for a stage cos i wished it was a chev i thought if i wished hard enuf it would grow two more pistons!! Each to their own. No one from the internet can tell you you can or cant do it and i know b4 Troy jumps in and says its just a poll ra ra ra i know, if you want it do it. Hows that for profound.

haha, i laugh every time. V8s aren't too bad, as the LS1 is based on the chev, but i also think the tools who say there LS1 is a 350 is a laugh. Learn your damn motor, its 346!

I didnt vote either. They do look good on the right car, but it should be done properly. I would prefer holden badges, because i would prefer to support aussie built machines.

Buick badges on a vn-vp-vr would look dupid, also with the nissan and nismo badges on vl's.
The old gemiys did have izuzu badges 'on some models' on the interior dash.

Finally i wished all the car companies stuck with their own engines and bodys, i hate all the swaping business.

    VS GTS-R perhaps? click here

taken from the above mentioned website:

Based on the 5.7litre, 215kW GTS model, the GTS-R builds on that dynamic philosophy with carbon-fibre component, Holden Racing Team input an dstunning visual package that highlights the car's race track heritage.

HSV Expects most GTS-R buyers to opt for the optimised engine option which sees the Holden Race Team Engineers strip and rebuild the locally produced 5.7 litre engine to optimised tolerances.

all GTSs (VR/S anyway) have the 5.7 motor.

the thing is, the LS1 is technically not, as its a 346 (5.68 or some crap) and the holden stroker motor is the true 5.7 (350)

Either way i think they look stupid, but hey, some people think its looks good. Only time you'll see chev badges on my car is April the first, for about 12 hours!
