new straight 6 eninge for commys?
now i know enough about my holden commys, but one of my mates seems so sure that his mates dad has bought a new straight 6 commy, he claims its brand new making it a vz, now im really sure that the only straight 6 were back with vl's and lower right?

id say your mate or his dad doesnt know what theyre talking about, there hasnt been a straight 6 commo engine since vl, as you said.

Yep your right. I doubt you could even get a straight 6 in the Holden engine bay. Unless it's a small 3L.
I think Ford and BMW are the only companies that sell I6's.

It costs a s*it load of money to tool up for a new engine. Having tooled up for the Alloytec it does not make sense to scrap it for another engine. The other possibilities are that your mates dad has been sold an as new condition VL, it's the vehicle rumoured to replace the Vectra (a Daewoo with an inline six but I did not think it is being sold here yet) or its not a GM product at all.
