I'll do most of the stuff I can.. Oil, plugs, coolant, filters and anything that goes wrong..
But if I can't do it myself or am unsure, I'll take it to the friendly bloke at Ultratune.. Like when my Extension Housing Oil Seal needed replacing.
I still take my car in for a safety check every 20,000km though.. I'll let the pro's tell me what's wrong..

Holden services my car, they do a great job and the service manager makes it cheaper coz i had so many issues with the car. But i could do it myself if i wanted to. Its really not hard. If anything i recon to get you licence you should have to know the bacics like changing oil air fuel plugs leads etc wipers and fluids lol

well me and hubby do as much as possible ourselves - just DON'T TRUST anyone else! We've paid in the past for stuff that we could have done quicker, cheaper, and also better quality ourselves!
We know a fantastic engine builder and a great general mechanic for when er are stuck for time, tooling or whatever

I do and with my cousin. My cousin is a farmer and knows everything about trucks, tractors and cars. He can drive and repair anything which runs on fuel.
The only stuff I leave to the mechs would be block and head recoes etc...

I give the mechanic everything to do pretty much. Local friendly guy that's never done me wrong.. cept maybe my suspension but I'm still to check that out. I do any crappy custom work that I want to do - set myself little projects here and there.
