LPG suitability question

Hi
I was wondering about the VT-VX V6 engine, if its suitable for a conversion?
my local Holden dealer said he would not advise it, he also said I would be back to see him for a $3000 overhaul after 2-3 years on gas
whats the view of owners please

I have a VX 6 and it runs beautifully.. No problems..

It's a 2001 Model and has 190,000km on the clock..

If you get LPG injection, you won't have to worry about backfires or uneven fuel mixtures. LPG can actually reduce wear and tear on the engine.
If you are hesitant, ask about warranties from the gas installer

well i'm pretty sure the 12 mth warranty just covers the conversion not any engine faults ,
Shounak how long has your car been on gas ? out of the 190,000 km
1 last quick question ,how to i know if my VX is series 1 or 11
its 2001 May plated

I've pulled half a million K's on my VN series II. It's now tired and getting replaced as the tranny wants to die. I only went over to petrol when LPG would run out, so say 95% on gas.

I know nothing of VT motors, but hopefully GM made them with stellite valves.

With the increased price of LPG in recent months, along with legislated tax on LPG coming in next few years, LPG has lost it's cost savings compared to wear on motor from not lubricating.
