Wink Welded up back Exhaust System

here is the exhaust system taken off vn-lexcen_s2's vn, its the back half, from the rear axel to the end, we took it to my place, we cut out the muffler and found a hotdog exhaust that would fit, 2 brackets about a 1/4" bigger than the outside diameter of the original exhaust pipe tp stick the hotdog onto the pipe and the back half of the pipe to the hotdog and that just sat like that for a few months on his car, it was actually tied up by garden hose, but i finally decided to finish the job so back to my place it came, i filed back the area around that was going to be welded so it would offer me the best conductor, (i was using an arc welder) i then filed a bit of rust off the edges of the brackets (the bigger parts op pipe that were going over each ends of the joins like over end of pipe and start of muffler) i then got down to business, in the backyard wearing a welding mask i got down to having a little practise on some scrap metal (i hadn't welded in quite a while). the exhaust needed a little bend in it to i had to place the brackets on and then put the pipe and muffler on an angle as much as i could so the bottom side of the bracket was tight and and top was loose and had a small sort of cave part to weld up (i included a picture below to help explain this).

the cave part was hard to weld but i managed the rest without too much trouble, after the welding was complete i got down to grinding the excess parts of weld that wernt needed, or little dags that i left, i then sanded it all back and gave it a sort of polish and all that has to be done now is give it a coat of high-temp paint, we are going red because the car is red but a chrome tip, it should look pretty good i think.
its gonna need a little buff before we paint it because by the time he has enough money for paint im guessing it will have a little surface rust on it.

it should sound alright, hi-flo rear muffler with original resonator up front.
