Hey! need help for next car!

Hey all,
I need some feedback on what car i should get next! atm i got a Ford Laser

(it was a b/day pressie from parents), i want a VL Berlina and my budget will be 3000$ , (saving 2000$) and selling the laser for 1000$. Do you guys agree a VL wud be a good second car?? and will 3000$ get me a good condition manual?? thanks! im from Melbourne, so if anyone has any VL's going give us a yell

Can't go wrong with a VL imo. $3000 will be enough to get something decent, and then in the future can add little bits and pieces. Good engine, good all round car. You're from Melbourne as well so you will have NO problem in finding one. There's heaps being sold all the time. Check out a few websites like carsales.com.au just to guage rough prices.
