hay i need to get to sydney asap to get a car (free vh sle) and need to know whats the best way to get there cheap cause i have only got like $100 and need to get the thing home with that
i can't think of anyways

I guess it would all depend on where abouts in sydney, but train would get you there, plus a bus ticket is only about 30 bucks. Then just have to figure out how to get to the location in sydney.

By the way, are you just using the car for parts? or is it going to be your actual car?

depends on how much work it needs for rego but the david (owner) said it would pass so i guess it will be my daily or something

shouldn't be more than about 30 - 40 in petrol, it's about 300 k's, so just over half a tank, but then you are cruising at 110 the whole way so it could be less.

It gets worse if you have a crash, even if its not your fault. How does being declared bankrupt sound after having your pants sued off!

I don't want to give you a hard time Pat, i can understand how keen you are to get this freebie but just don't do it.

I hope you find a legal way of getting it, can't complain about getting a free car no matter how good or bad it is.

then your stuck in the middle of the road and no where to go

but realy jus offer someone with a car and car trailer a case of beer and fuel money.....

Agreed.. It's the largest cause of teenage debt, car accidents..

You take a car out, if you have a smash.. You have to pay for all the damage out of your own pocket.. Hell, you'll get into deep shit if someone smashes into the back of you, not only financially, as outlined above but especially if the cops turn up..

Plus the cops suck around that area.. If you go at night you'll most likely bump into an RBT who WILL ask for your license.. Unless you look about 50..

what do you mean by car carrier? does it take it to your house or is it like a trailer?

i think i am going to use the car carrier option
do any of you know of any cheap ones? cheapest i have found so far is like $500 for a door to door one and like 300 for a pick up one (you take to there depo and pick it up)

Statewide Car Carriers. Canberra Carways. there's a few. you may need to get the car taken to their depot. Call campbelltown car carrying as they are around the corner from canberra carways. otherwise Independent Car Carrying will get it to the depot for $50.

Can I add that if your budget cannot stretch past $100 to transport a vehicle, then you have no chance of restoring it! I have restored three cars and 1 bike and they chew up money faster than you can make it. So take that into account before doing something silly.
