Yeah it pisses me off too, on both sides. I dont mind people who have had bad experiences with a certain car or brand and have genuine reasons, but I cant stand people who say "<Insert car name here> are crap because its a <Insert car brand here>".

What I find funny is this thing keeps getting posted, yet if you look into the story further Ford fixed the problems with the car and he ended up buying a Territory as his next car.

We just like to see the words "shitbox" and "xr6 turbo" in the same place at the same time. How do they expect that old bloody ford motor to hold up with only dished pistons and a dohc grafted on to it.
That basic design of the block is around 40 years old by the way. It may have different gallery placements and a couple of minor tweaks and changes but.........

mate who cares for a design thats 40 years old its pulling some impressive power ... i mean nizpro cracked the 1000hp pretty easy with it....
i will give it to ford in some places but im always going to be a holden man...but please give credit where credit is due.....and i garentee that at this point in time i dont see any holden 6s producing 1000hp+

This whole Ford bashing stuff is pretty lame. When I was younger I liked Chryslers (ie Valiants VF, VG Chargers etc) and I "hated" Holdens and Fords. Why, because my dad had a Valiant, he wasn't passionate about cars and he bought what he thought was the better car at the time for him. In my early twenties I understood this and I too bought the best car that suited my needs and this is still the case. I have owned Ford and now a Holden. Once again I bought the car that suited my needs this time a holden. It is better in some regards than the Fords, otherways its not.
Its the car companies themselves that hype it up, dont get yourself caught up in it, become more open minded and see it for what it is. Take for instance the V8 supercars I find it boring with only 2 makes. This was done to get the "die hards" all revved up and keep it an australian series. by doing so I reckon its now boring. Anyway thats my say. Remember if Ford makes a good product then Holden will need to improve. Its a win win for the consumer. So in this regard I reckon they're both good.
