Painful or not buying from interstate?

Been checking out ebay a fair bit seems to be some bargins to be had, but nothing in little sleepy SA so looking to interstate. So how much of a pain is this idea? even after I factor in petrol & time to drive seems still to be cost effective. So now just wondering if RWC etc varies to much state to state for example no such animal as RWC here in SA, for those in SA will it have to go over regency b4 rego here?

As for buying a car from interstate, I'd imagine it is hard. My brother-in-law's car was picked up by this guy (he came to Sydney in person). I would imagine transporting a car interstate WOULD cost a fair bit though.

G'day all. We had a guy buy my wife's Brockade Yellow SB Barina from us in Victoria. He lives in Alice Springs and had the car sent via road transport all the way up. Was nice and clean when we took it to the depot.......

He reckoned there weren't that many good little used cars up there that weren't full of dents or scrapes. Still, must have cost him a fair bit to have it sent all that way...

Daughter loved the 15inch mags on it.......

yea well if your in S.A looking interstate for a car i would see no problems because N.S.W an i think VIC cars go over the pits every year but for buying a car from S.A i would say no way in hell would i buy one if i lived in N.S.W because we can drive our cars for 50 years and unless the get defected they wouldnt even get close to a inspection pit. as far as price on transport i wouldnt really care on the price because it would all be worth it if you were to get a car from N.S.W
