Exclamation Why r utes more expensive than sedans/wagons???

To all the commodore brainiacs...
Please can u give a reasonable explanation to why older utes ie vg, vp, vr, vs utes are more expensive than the sedans or wagons? it just seems weird that u pay all that money and only have a two seater. Thanks for ur reply.

It is a good question and I think it's because there work horses and the production numbers a smaller then the sedans and wagons.

Utes are also the "in thing" at the moment.

a lot of people are after them on principle.

Cheers,

Robbie

That was my reason for buying the Storm. I couldn't justify the fact that a sedan looses half it's value in 2 or 3 years whereas the utes keep their value for 4 or 5. What's a VN exec worth these days? ($3000?) As opposed to a VG utility? ($6-8000)Consider also the ute was probably cheaper when new.

yeah thats what i figured, but remember that the vs utes ran from 95 until 2000 i think, the vg's came out with the VN's but i think they where only in 1990 to 1991, then they stuck with VP, VR, VS, then they went VU then VY....weird
