Ok with your V6/V8 non-5.7litre alloy engine, it is okay to degrease and put water on it when its still hot. The radiator will be okay as well, just make sure its within reasonable operating temperature. Ie, don't put cold water on it after its been overheating.
Just take care to aviod water/degreser on 3 places:

1) electrics, from the battery to the leads and plugs, although you won't get electrocuted, you may have difficulty starting the car if it gets wet.
2) Air intake system, as above
3)Extractors/headers, as they get very hot and cold water on them may cause them to crackle.
