Default 5Lt Build Up

Just a few questions for all of you. Some time later this year/early next year I will be starting an extensive 5.0Lt rebuild. I will be purchasing a fairly stock car with good paint and panel, but the question is what car?? I was thinking of either a VN, VP or VR SS and was wondering in peoples opinions what would be the best model to use, not just on looks and stuff like that im talking handling (suspention, IRS, ect), ease of repair and cost of (diff, engine, gearbox), strength of componets (althought going to be rebuilt and strengthed what is stronger the old TH-700 or the electronic version), etc.

Now for parts. I will be pumping a fair amount of money into this project so I almost want everyones 'wish list of parts'. Like for example I was looking at Isky Valve Springs and Retainers, Yella Terra Rollers, ACL Pistons and Bearings, DBA Rotors, Pacemakers, etc.

Also if you know of prices, part numbers and where to purchase then that would be a big help.

And lastly what are peoples opinions on strockers, 355 or 383???

Thankx

Does anyone knows of a good site or mag that would have HSV's in em', as I am trying to track down a SV5000. Also any info or pics on the SV5000 would be great.
Cheers

Looking at Harrop 355 strocker and cranks and there are two differnet types, one for a Lip rear seal and one for a Rope rear seal. I will be using a VN 5.0Lt and was wondering which one it is and what the differnece between them is??
Cheers

I would suggest a VS as thier lighter, parts are fairly cheap since the parts cover a wide range of models, hadle great with IRS. Also l like the shape better.

I'm looking at, in the distant future, of putting a gen III in my Vs if its possible. I don't know why but l just like the idea .
