Just Commodores Stickers

hi darren, it just occured to me that when i am driving along the road and you see a nice commodore i often wonder if they log onto just commodores and if they do who are they. i wonder if it would be possible for us to organize a sticker for our cars with maybe,,,WWW.JUSTCOMMODORES.COM.AU...then when we are on the road and you come across one on a car it gives you the opportunity to stop and say hullo.i realise this may be too expensive to organize as we may not be able to get them at the right price,i for one would pay 10 dollars for a sticker,maybe someone out there is in the business and can get back to you with a price..we could slip in an envelope the money and post it too you in return for our stickers

just a thought what does everyone think

i think just bold black orwhite writing would be the way to go because they suit most paint jobs, if they become avaliable i will be one of the first to get one.

Sorry about the late reply. This has been written a few days ago but I never submitted it

This suggestion has been bought up before at one stage but they contacted me personally. I can't recall the pricing but from what I recall it was a bit over the top for what you get.

I guess I can try and find out the costing but I wouldn't imagine it would be cheap.

Garth appears to have the contact so we'll see what comes up I guess.

i'm sure if you get it in mass production it will be cheaper
just take orders and then get whoeva to make that amount

well, basicaly, here is the deal

for a standard sticker, black or white writing, in a decent font size, we are looking around the $22 mark for each sticker produced

if i order 300 it's gonna cost $3 each sticker, so straight up, there's $900 for the sticker's

using the rear windscrean on the back of a vn commodore, it will read the following
as a example us a vn

all in capital letters

the size of text from top to bottom is 13.9cm, the length is 531cm, it will roughtly take up half of the windscreen. we have a choice in colours, black, white, red, orange, blue, dark blue, purple, aqua, and yellow, (the last 3 colours require a extra $2 each sticker) it will take aproximately 1 week to make them, and they can be purchesed at the store i order them from. if you ask me, its' not a bad deal right there, im gonna make a few little visit's yesterday and see what else i can find i can also get a sticker that will take up half 3 quater's of the rear windscreen, and the text size will remain the same. i will endeavour to keep you all informed, and i shall enter a discusion with administrator's and moderator's about the making of the stickers and what type of stuff we would like to see,

everyone feel free to add any futher remarks youwish to add, i am open to discusion and susgestions about this

nice work garth you must have got straight on to that,,firstly the sizes,,i personally think the size is a bit large,i was thinking something a bit more subtle..say 6 cm high and approx 50/60 cm long,,the lenght of the stickers you mentioned garth seem a bit large,also 500 plus cm is about 20 feet long,maybe you mean mm anyway we can all discuss the size we would like

yer i agree with fergie having a smaller font band a longer sticker, also another thing how are we gonna pay for em is it gonna be like a ebay thing pay for it (eg bank deposit) then get it sent to us?

I like the sound of the stickers, but yeah, maybe a bit too big, but that's just a personal thing.

I've also noticed a lot of slogans, websites, and so-on on rear number plate surrounds. The one of the back of my car is an old car dealership one, with a 20mm wide strip at the bottom which used to have the dealership name. Now it has a printed sticker on it saying "Eighteen Till I Die". (Yes I know...it's a Brian Adams song...I'll duck now... )
Plenty of people have commented on it, so it gets noticed, but the price of making them would be outragous. Maybe it could give someone an idea for another version of the Just Commodores logo on their own plate surround?

The sticker for the back window would be a great idea though and certainly raise your profile.

i should set this straight right now, all measurements were in millimeter's, not centermeter's, my bad, i left it out, those sizes where what he had there on hand, ill be talking to darren and all moderator's a bit later during the month, probably next week, with final details. payment method will be direct to the place that prints them, i will have nothing to do with the exchange of money in any way. as for shouds for numberplates, yeah, if you can get them made, go for it i reckon, but i think that one is a bit beyond me

i think eachmember should deal direct with the organisation that is supplying the stickers,maybe we could give them our credit card number on a phone transaction or get a postal order from the post office

ladies and gent's it's official, today i ordered 4 sticker's, they read the following,

i have one of each, the size is aproximately 600mm long, (or 60cm) and the height is just over 15cm, (150mm) pick up date is aproximately 1 week from today, (wensday), i will be forwarding them to darren, getthing his input, and possibley seeing if i can get him to put them on his car, so far the colour of the text is white, starting with something simple. there is a range of colours, and a different no of fonts, how ever, the fonts i have used is a simple one and a simple colour, just to see about size. keep your eye's posted here over the next few weeks, im hoping to have something set in contrete by the new year

payment options will be as followes

bank cheque direct to maker of sticker
money order direct to maker, of if you live in qld, come and pick it up with cash
coa isnt a option
credit cards arnt a option either, dont trust people with those details
