its a few resistors. they just try make it look flashy. when the flick changes positions, it picks a new resistor, sending different signals for the temperature. stupid idea.

I got a performance chip from blackstar off ebay, he wanted to know what mods i had done, i guess so he could tune to sorta near specifics. I was not very impressed with it to start with, until i swapped my CAI over to the pod just to test my new aluminium piping and my god it shows improvement now, i accidentally laid a single line spinner 150mtrs up my road unaware it was doing it till it stepped out. (No sh1t either music always cranking from when i start engine). Im guessing i have very good compression still cos the car is fine but a few little adjustments and god damn its tyre shredding without even putting on the supercharger.

i bought one of those memcal chips for my last ute from blackstar and he sent the wrong one. he sent one tuned for a T5 gearbox not a getrag, he happily sent me the new one then i sent back the old one and it certainly made a difference. with a pod filter and cat back exhaust it was good.
as for the resistor thing... thats just pathetic

it didnt make a difference in performance (maybe that was a bad thing?) but the engine light stayed on.

anybody tried using 'marobi' before?
its not a resistor, (i was dumb enough to buy one of those, but realised it was **** after doing some research, so it never went on the commie) its a proper chip that is attached to the ecu via a 28 pin socket that has to be fitted.
any idea what this will be like if i fit it?

I have heard bad things about Marobi chips. That's just me though. Your car will probably just run rich and you won't get a heap of gain out of it. Refer to my reply to Lumina below

PM forum member "Greenfoam" or preferably purchase a chip off him via Egay. His Egay username is "Nicefrog".
The majority of chip tuned cars on this forum are done by Foamy or Dr.Bob. Both do great work. I had my VS Senator tuned by Foamy. Couldn't be happier. Power increase / tighter throttle and i also have way better fuel economy. Average of 15.9 litres / 100 kms city driving isn't bad for a V8 with a panel filter, 3" exhaust and a tune!!!
