Talking Vague Question: What comes first? rims n rubber, extractors, exhaust, shox,Diff, ecu?

In general, what do most think should come first when doing some basic work to a stock VS berlina/Calais/executive as a first ride?
Just to get it nice and playfull......

    Same here.

Wheels change a car's look, at a click of a finger.

But you don't notice it from the inside
apart from rims then: lets say they 'came with the car'
    Whats number 2?

Rims and tyres, lowered springs, exhaust. Thats the first three id do. And you will notice a good set of rims/tyres in the handling.
Im not a complete idiot, some parts are still on backorder!

All depends wots on ya car wen ya get it and if it needs anywork done first like the zorst might be buggerd wen ya buy it so im tipping ya do that first instead of ya rims and wot not.

Depends all on whether you want show or go, really A set of genuine 15*7 interceptors with good 225s will do you just fine for handling, and save a few bucks over alloys. Slightly less cop attention too, you'd figure. Then I'd whack on a good cat-back exhaust, and extractors if you've got the money. That's the best place to start for a few kilowatts. Lowering looks awesome on any wheels, but it starts to get expensive for bogans like me when you factor in new shocks and a panhard rod.

me and my mates believe first mods done to the car is the stereo, when i got the calais, as soon as i got home my 6x9's went in,didnt change the deck till it died because the stock calais one sounded pretty good and had 10 stacker, which then shit it self. After that i went tints, wheels, lowering, exhaust etc...

Before you do *anything* work out what you want to achieve. A nice street cruiser? Circuit racer? Dragster?

Then with these goals in mind, select your wheel/tyre combo and brakes (if you are going to change them), then set your ride height and get shockabsorbers to suit (at the same time).

Now you have the ability to put the power to the ground look at your powertrian. If you are changing your camshaft &/or other inernal mods, start here. When the motor goes back in, do the extractors/exhaust at the same time. Once this is all done, give your engine specs and the car to somebody who knows ecu's and can plonk it on the dyno to get the most out of your engine. IMHO the ecu gets done last becuase most engine mods will have at least some effect on ecu performance.

I did my system first (you want the doof doof)
    Rims second (appearance)
Extractors, with twin high flow cat system (extra kw and sounds tough)
And now in the process of lowing it. (will look awesome but will scrape ohwell)
