shaved door handles

hey all can anyone in melb know anyone that shaves door handles i have a vn wagon and want the the 2 back doors done

Any panel beater should, if you have one that you usually go to then I'd say them.

why would you want to do this to a 4 door car? are you making it into a show car or something, because that makes sense, otherwise its pointless in my opinion to get this done, just makes things ridiculously hard when you'll want to get passengers in the back.

Most people get the pop out doors when they do this, and do all 4 doors.

good point dude...but is it really worth paying to get the door handles shaved then paying to get the pop out doors all because you wanted a car with no rear door handles...i personally can not justify that

and with the pop out doors can you control how many doors open or does it automatically pop out 4 doors...like central locking...or would you get the choice to choose how many doors/which doors you want open on a remote.

kewl just for everyone info yes i am making this into a show car and no for what i have in mind i wont be using pop outs

Just my thoughts.. Don't take offense.

If your making this a show car then you'd want to get the car resprayed? Or you'd have good paint already, I don't see why its not worth spending a little bit extra to get it done right.

Oh keep it mind the legalities. some? all? Doors need handles for access for Emergency Services etc.

i dont mind spending a little bit more but when panel shops ask like 800 to do the job with out painting it (as im doing the whole car) i think the price is a bit of a joke for what the job really is

How many places have you tried? There isn't much work there.

To take my locks out my panel beater did it for free. Theres a touch of labour, two seconds welding and some bog to smooth it all off.

You can save a lot of dough if you remove the handles and sand the area a little prior to handing it over to the pros.
