Default New Holden Remote Key Question

    Hey guys,

Just a quick question - got a new Holden Remote Key Head cut and programmed last night for my VY, and just wondering if they feel quite stiff, sticky or a bit harder to turn for awhile? I only ask because compared to my now spare key, it takes a bit for it to click into the barrel and turn properly - just feels like the barrel is not turning properly. I realise my older spare one is probably worn down a bit also.

I realise new Remote Keys will probably feel stiff for awhile, but just wondering if it should settle down and whether I should be worried about it. It has been cut correctly by a certified Holden dealer, but just comparing them the groove area that has been cut out is a tad untidy (very minor though), and the "top" groove that runs along the length of the key (looks like a line running down as seen on originals) isnt there, but I doubt thats got anything to do with it.

Shall I just see how it goes for the next few weeks? Hopefully the new key will soften up and the barrel will turn easier once its been used a bit more.

    Any reassurance is appreciated.

the new remote doesnt go in the lock, it just the black thing with the electronics in it...
a new shaft may be a bit stiff to turn for a while yes, if it really concerns you after a week or so take it back.
