Haha, hey guys,
im not sure who's car i saw it on, my opologies for not asking permission, i just forgotHere is a boot pick with a fire extinguisher with a blue neon in a box mount...i reckon it looks pertty cool
but is there any better looking fire extinguishers out there without green on it or something?? I would like it with a chrome handle, everything on it apart from the green, is it possible?? Thanks
Sorry about the wank factor in it, i reckon it would look pretty cool at night in the boot with the blue neon
Cheers![]()

sorry about that guys, up and running now/\ /\ /\ /\
Sorry to point out the obvious, but what is the point of having it in a sealed box? Surely you would want it be be as accessible as possible.
Exactly ... And not wanting to try and insult anyone, but why worry about what the best colour would be.. Worry about the quality of the thing if you ever use it...
I would rather have one that looks ugly and saves my car, then have one that looks good and have no car to protect it with ...
but it would be souly used for looks...sorry guys![]()
why would anyone use a fire extinguisher for looks?? i dont get it
looks dangerous, i know it sounds stupid, but it would look cool when its illuminated with neons at night
Better off mounting a big ass capacitor in that space behind perspex, that way it at least has some function......
capacitor?? sorry, whats that![]()

You will find the australian standard for colour coding of fire extinguishers will only allow for certain colours to represent certain types ie. red with white band = dry powder.
You won't have any luck getting one in the colour that you want unless you do it yourself. Then you are only cheating yourself as it is a piece of safety equipment and is unlikely to be recognized by others if it looks like a decoration.
Just my 2c worth...
anyone who thinks that a fire extinguisher in a sealed box looks dangerous needs to be run over with a bus
it looks a hell of a lot more "dangerous" as you put it, if you mount a functional fire extinguisher near the drivers leg.
you want something "dangerous" looking in your boot, get your battery relocated and an aftermarket fuel pump setup

Not defending anybody, but that pic doesn't look sealed to me. From memory, some car audio comps demand that you have an extinguisher installed in the boot for safety precautions due to the amount of high power electronics installed in there. That pic suggests someone has put some thought into it rather than just attaching it or letting it roll around in the boot.
i want one at the passengers side leg as well, but the back one would just be for looks, the front one would be practical
im so glad i had mine the other day mounted front passenger side but still glad i had it my prehistoric rockwood amp caught fire in my boot in a blue puff of smoke and i had to rip it out of the boot wall wires attached didnt actually have to use the extinguisher this time but it was there and put my mind at ease real quick knowing i could of done something about it if the situation got worse
needless to say it bbq'd outside my car i didnt bother about putting it out lol
anyone got a good 4 channel reasnobly high rms amp ?? :P

You could be right ... You can see up on the left hand top, that there is a patch of black, which could mean that you just put your hand in and pull back the cover plate... You can see the definite gap between the wheel arch, and around the bottom of the panel .... So the pick could be OK ...
But just having one for show like Frandy wants, just does not sit right with me ... Regardless to if you have a functional one in the front .. But hey that is just me ...
