Un-F**KN-believable... what is the chances... this isn't good
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20545899-2,00.htmlRACE driver Mark Porter has died after he suffered massive injuries in a crash at Mount Panorama on Friday while preparing for the Bathurst 1000.
not the best news sad day
Research has shown that men usually sleep on the right side of the bed.
Even in our sleep we happen to be right.

That's not good...last I heard on the radio this arvo he was "on life support", so it didn't seem good then.
Freaky that we lose so many driver in the same sort of accident. Brock's car copped a massive thump in the drivers door, Porter's car did, and years back, the great Greg Hansford also died in a touring car when he copped a huge shunt in the drivers door.
I would imagine there's going to be some redesigning of the roll cage on that area of the car after these latest two tragedies.
Theres only so much they can do to protect the drivers though. At the end of the day, at speeds of over 200km/h there simply isnt enough protection on the side of the cars and there never will be.
RIP Mark
Its a real shame to loose another up and comming Kiwi V8 racer, i was glad to see they still kept his name on his car for yesterday's race/
Terrible for his family, my condolences to them and his team.
RIP..
poor bugger
my sympathies go out to him and his family

my old man said he was dead the minute the car was hit.... the maramedics didn't announce it, or whoever is in charge of that department.. didn't want to say anything untill the race was over.
I was unfortunately directly opposite trackside when the accident occured.
They managed to revive him trackside but it still didn't look good, they were working on him in the ambulance for a while before it took off but he wasn't dead when they left the track.
With Bathurst being a public road seeing the police on the scene pretty quickly wasn't the best of sights as we knew something must of been up
