Doesnt sound authentic to me, read the questions down the bottom, it doesnt even have the build plates on it, the most important thing when buying something like that.
Hmmm...thats a hard one. If i was to think about buying it, I'd fully research it. Especially since Peter Brock died, people would sell anything under his name for some big $$.
But it does claim to have the full authentication papers from HSV...
I dunno, but I'd definately suss it out a little more.

Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
Yeah the owner was ? / is ? a old member on here !
I think there is a Red, White and Blue version of this car thats all !!!
Out of the 3 that were made 2 have been on ebay in the last few weeks.
That one has been modified...so I doubt it will command top dollar from a collector...but ya never know !
The rarest one was the blue one advertised a few weeks back... bidding got up around $50,000 last time I looked... it said it was the rarest because the colour was only released on the VS and is supposedly the only VR to have come from Holden with that colour...

Holy hell. That red VR is awesome... Incredibly nice!
That Ford is a fake though... No original wheels, no build plates or ID tags... FAKE.
Interesting that it has series 2 badges but the build date on the tag shows a pre series 2 date
yep and there is Brock Fairlanes' as well.![]()
i RECKON HES A FRAUD,
Granted it is a nice looking car, and i was seriously interested in it, so i asked him for a copy of the Authenticity papers from HSV and he said no.
He said you get them with the car when you have paid for the car, same as what i did.
If it was legit, then why the hell wouldnt you have a pic of the papers on ebay with the add.
Also, does anyone know if Brock did work with HSV like that, i thought he only drove for them at that stage.
Yeah but if the cars featured in a magazine the same car is would be legit

I was thinking the same thing, a couple of months or so back someone on Ebay was selling blank HSV build plates so it wouldn't be that hard to forge a build plate
I also noticed he made no mention of the car being registered either so the plates could easily be a mock-up as well
Strange how there were only 3 of these cars made and since Brock's death two have appeared on Ebay, to me it sounds a lot like all the ex HRT VP-VS chassis's getting around that are 'ex-Brock'. By my calculations Brock drove 15 different VP-VS race cars when he was at HRT according to all these sellers which would mean he would have gone through 4 cars per season he was at HRT, a figure that is obviously very wrong
I just read about these sorts of cars in Motor magazine. Only 150 or 160 (can't remember which one) fairlanes, ghias and another type were made. and that is meant to be build 191, some how i don't think so. The samaras were also very rare.
Hey Jstpozn
Have you seen the article, ye you would think it would be legit, but then again, was the article about a rare Brock car or just about a warmed over vs.
^^ Yeah
Or sometimes they made certain numbers and not others... strange systems
