VR advice
howdy,
my gf is looking at buying a VR atm,
is there any thing i should be looking at with a VR that is a problem, i have been told by a mechanic that they do rear main seals and cam bearings as a common thing.
the one we r looking at is a 94 acclaim with 233k on the clock, drives well, has a slight mis fire but i think its plug leads as they look quite old and ****ty.
they r asking 1800 for it as a lowest offer, it needs about $500 spent for it to pass a road worthy. plus a few other little things like stock radio in it doesnt work.
is it wise to buy this particular one for 1800 and spend maybe 500 + reg on the road plus a few other things minor that it doesnt need for rwc? or should we pass it up, it has quite a bit of moisture around the power steering and back of motor. however for the sake of $1800 im not sure im too worried.
my gf is a student atm so money is a little tight so she can only really afford to spend up to about 3k tops.
am i going to get a vs for that much? ide rather her have a vs purely for the newer motor.
thanks sorry about long post.
