    what are all the engines that were available on the commodores?

    VB-VK
    2.85L 173ci
    3.0L 6 cylinder 186ci
    3.3L 6 cylinder 202ci
    4.2L V8 253ci
    5.0L V8 308ci


    VN-VS
    3.8L V6 231ci
    5.0L V8 304ci

    What did the VT-VZ and VL have?
    how many liters and ci they had

    VB - VK

    202 = 3.3L
    253 = 4.2L
    308 = 5L

    Ummm...thats all I can think of. Oh I think the 186 was somewhere around the 3L mark....I think....

    186 or 3.0 straight 6

    116 or 1.9 starfire 4cyl

    202 or 3.3 straight 6 (also in EFI)

    253 or 4.2 V8

    308 or 5.0 V8

    183 or 3.0 EFI straight 6 (also in turbo version)

    231 or 3.8 EFI V6

    304 or 5.0 EFI V8

    355 or 5.7 EFI V8

    350 or 5.7 EFI V8 (LS1) (346 or 5.665 to be exact)

    219 or 3.6 EFI V6

    364 or 6.0 EFI V8 (LS2)

    From 186 - 308 were VB - VK.

    Was the 173 ever released in the VB - VH Holden?

    HQ-WB: 173, 186, 202 (carbed), 253 and 308.

    VB-VH: 173, 186, 202 (carbed), 253 and 308. And the wild 116 starfire 4cyl.

    VK-VL: 202 EFI, 253, 308 and 304 EFI in VL walkys.

    VN-VR: 231 EFI V6, 304 EFI, 355 EFI in HSV

    VS-VY: 231 EFI V6, 304 EFI, 355 EFI in HSV, 350 LS1 in VT s2 to VY

    VZ-VE: 219 EFI V6, 364 LS2.

    2 litre engine that was the same as the Opel Vectra so probably would have been one of the Family II engines built by Holden i'd assume

    those were both v8's not 6's

    and also the 308 in the vl's were actully considared 4.9L v8's it had something to do with the conversion to unleaded in '86

    But most people call them 350 chevs ( like myself )
    And they are not 5.7 litres they are 5665.0 litres..

    To me and most of the population they are a 350 chev 5.7 litre

    SSZ-5665.0L wouldn't fit on my number plate......

    my ecotec will be soon be a 4.2L 253ci im waiting for it any day now and a supercharger is my next plan for it

    in the vl it went from 5.0L to 4.9L, it was to comply with group a racing, thats why its group a ss
    but v8 supercars still use 4.9L

    somethign like 4.97L

    yeah didnt NZ get the 2L vn?

    There's quite a few over here. Theres heaps of 2L Vls.
    I used to have a VK that I picked up as a bit of a hack which had 2 litres and 4 cylinders worth of tyre shredding power.

    2 litre VN(export) 83Kw@5200 rpm, 168Nm@2800rpm. 10:1 compression ratio and it ran on leaded fuel.

    i think they had 4.11 diff gears too. would make sense
