Exclamation Gas system has no power

    Hey guys,

I have just picked up a VN Executive 3.8L V6. It is dual fuel, bu tI have no power to the Gas tank, or to the regulator. The gauges and switch in the vehicle have power, but that is all. This system also has a EFBU (electronic feedback unit) installed, but there is no power there either.

Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Since gettint this car, I have traced the power wires back to the tank, to the regulator unit, and to the control module. There are no breaks in these wires. However I have traced a power wire from the gas turn over switch back to the control module....and there is no power at the module end of this wire, hence no power to the tank, or to the rgulator.

This is a basic diagram of the wiring, in words, if it helps

if you can find power going to the tank .... but no power leaving the tank ... then i would say that something at the tank is faulty .... the tank, the regulator unit, and the control module ....

    Default Gas Problem found

    Thanks Guys,

My regulator is stuffed..... only $400 to replace it. I am now looking at trying to get hold of a simple mod chip, but am unsure as the beast already hits 150km/h with relative ease. I will let y'all know how it goes.

there goes my idea out the window..... in my old ladys car, the guage worked but whenever we turned it to gas it would just stop, reason for it was something so simple...... EARTH! thats it
the guy was testing everything on both ends of the systems and finally checked the earth and it was loose..... so cleaned the surface and done it up... worked perfect...... but you solved it so good to hear the car is running right
