hey guys, when i bought my car it had personalised plates on it
as it was registerd in nsw, (im in vic) i got new plates for vic!
anywayz serching threw garage the other day i found them, i rang vic roads twice and both times i got the run around with being on hold, and a guy who coulndt speak english . . . lol
i was wondering if any one knew if i could return the plates to them for some exchange of money? thanks
I've heard of that, people trading in number plates for cash.. probably be better to go there in person though if you're having a hard time on the phone.. not sure if you can go to Vicroads with NSW plates to claim reward though since that's the RTA's thing (but they're all the same aren't they?)
yea thats what i thought but didnt really wanna make the trip for nutin, but spose its worth a shot
thanks juzza
i thought if the plates was cancelled then someone can use that name .... i've seen plates on ebay for auction...
if the plates havent been cancelled then u should be able to get some money back, but in order to do so i think you need to hand in the plates from memory.
vic roads hates it when you walk in with ten sets of plates needed to be handed in since they were not being used anymore.
I walked into VicRoads recently with two milk crates full of number plates.
They were plates seized from unregistered cars - yep we'd been busy.
did it get you enough $$ to buy drugs and booze for the weekend?
