Thumbs up Computer fault.....

Following my first thread regarding my unusual ECM fault, I am happy to say that I have now resolved the problem. Originally took my car to the mechanic and was told that the ECM was faulty based on his knowledge and also by asking GM service dept. I ordered a new ECM and it seemed to work fine....for a week. Then it acted the same as the old one ie. flashing continuously (see my last thread). I rang all the GM service centres locally and no-one seemed to have an idea what was wrong, and most claimed it was a faulty memcal in the ECM. I was getting worried as I couldn't afford a new one every week, so decided to check out the wiring. Finally found a bad intermittant connection from battery earth to chassis. Cleaned up and both ECM's are now functioning. So before you race out and buy a new ECM check your wiring. Hope this helps someone someday.
