Hey ppl just wondering what recommendations u can give me to touch up the paintwork on my car? Should I get the touch up guys to come around and do it, do it myself, or take it to a panel beater for basic touch ups. Any other ideas?
Cheers,

Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
If you have never done a touch-up before and if you have no idea where to start then I would leave it to the guys with the know how. Lets say you run off and get the same colour code for your car and lets say the paint work has faded, it may turn out a big mess. But maybe you have that a "I don't give a damn approach" then sure, go for it. You never know if you don't give it a go. You can always rub it back to bare metal and start again.
well, be nice to it, buy it a few drinks, keep talking to it and maaayyyyybeeeee it'll let ya....![]()
lol pays to be prepared for a slap too
Japanese scientists have created a camera with such speed that they now can photograph a woman with her mouth shut!
could you post some pics here of the touch-up areas .....
if you just talkin small chips and what-not the mobile blokes would be able to sort it out, i wouldnt touch it unless your game though, it can be hard to colour match and blend in without the aquired practice.
most panel beaters wont touch that sort of stuff, too "small time" for them to worry...i mean thats why there is a market for those mobile touch-up businesses. the panels beater way would be to re-spray the whole panel.
i've touched up a few bad scratches on my VX .... after polishing, they basicly disappeared ....
also man depends on if it is metallic or gloss, metallic is an absolute bitch to touch up and most often is needed to have the whole panel resprayed
