Hi I was just wondering if in the vin number there is a letter or number that states wheather the car is equipt with an LSD. I have a berlina wagon and think it may do due to how it drives and behaves..
example from vz owners manual
6G1ZK52F05L123456
6G1= world manufactor ID
Z= model series
K= luxury level(K= exec sv ss L=berlina X=calais0
5= body style
2= restraint code
F= engine code
0= sercuity check code
5= model year code (04 05 06 etc)
L= plant build code(L= elizabeth
12345= production number
no diff codes
have a look on the diff tag, if its a lsd it will say LSD on the tag
have a look on the compliance plate. where it says axle or diff is a code. what does the code say?
if it has "GU4" on the compliance plate, then you have a single spinner. G80 (i think?) signifies LSD.
* Phreddy's Blaupunkt Aux input and line out mod
* 18x8 inch Equus Kalibur Wheels with Maxxis MAV-1 235/40R18
* Sureflo 3.5 inch medium-loud cat back exhaust
GU4 menas its a 3.08:1 ratio, not single spinner. As far as codes for LSD diffs, you need to get the broadcast sheet, as all the info on your car.

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
Why don't just jack the rear up and find out that way,simple as that![]()
Yep it says GU4 so I take its a single bummer! Oh well good to know anyway thanks for all your imput
