I've got lock nuts (1 on each rim) on them but im not sure if they'll do anything other than delay the inevitable (for about 5 seconds). i've read about tilt sensors but im not too sure how much that costs or if it affects my factory alarm.
try and get a unique set of locknuts or now you can also get nut lock which lock on your nuts which need to be opened by a key.
if you got a set of locknuts with your wheels ditch them cos most wheel makers make about 10-20 different locknut patterns and most people who steal wheels and stuff like that usually have at a couple of different one with them so the chances are higher with standard locknuts.
We got rep back, yaaay!
5 sets of different lock nuts maybe
Illegitimi Non Carborundum
tilt sensors would be the best way for sure... a mate of mine had bought 5 sets of lock nuts and put them all on... pain in the ass when changing a rim but
EDIT: dam fxsto1 ur just a little too quick for me lol
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
can you put more than one lock nut on each wheel?
question answered. lol
the other answer is tie a ruddy big rottie to your car and see what happens, good luck with problem

Multiple lock nuts on each wheel could potentially not be a good thing - some brands don't tend to tighten up as well as a regular nut and there is a slim chance it could fall off.![]()

I think 1 set of lock nuts would be fine, I had em on my last car and the tyre joint lost the key.. Tried for about an hour to get em off and couldnt. He ended up having to weld an old nut onto the locknut to get em off!

if they are not possiable maybe 2 different locknuts on each wheel and only park it in well lit busy areas, that way hopefully they will leave it alone
Just buy left hand thread wheel studs and do them up with a rattle gun.... that should keep them amused while the Rotty chews their legs off.

i always keep the car insured
if the wheels were knocked off then i'd get new ones
Gorilla locknuts is what you need. Unlike most locknuts that you can't hammer a socket over the top of it to undo. Gorilla lock nuts have a unique design which will just free spin if this happens.
Plus the socket goes on your key ring instead of in your boot. And they torque up as well as standard bolts. Which means you could use more than 1 set.
Tilt sensor combined with shock sensor and a couple of piezo screamers for good measure.
Works for me.

park at car in the garage! simple. If you don't have one just put it inside your yard and buy a cover for your car.
How can you secure a car when you can;t park it in the backyard and the only place is on the nature-strip like in my house? I swear it's like a tractor factory here and no place for my broom broom
List them on your insurance, and pray. That is my method. (one locknut set also... just to slow them down)

get rims that the nut goes into the rim, and put a locknut on each rim and that way they shouldnt be able to break it off because its in the rim, if that makes senseand then if you catch them BREAK THERE FACE!
that should do the trick
