Ok this question is put here as its not really a commodore question, well sort of is.......
I need some advice....
I sold my VT SS to pay the bills off and start fresh.........
Ive since bought a 74 HQ Kingswood nothign special 252 High Comp Auto.
Heres the drama.......the missess is now pregnant, and the kingswood needs some work ( i recently had some rust cut out, just needs a bit of minor panel repairs and its ready for a respray)......and it lacks the saftey harness for a kids capsual......
So do i
A) Keep the Kingswood, fix it up and install a safety harness point for bubs.
B) Sell it or try and trade it for a VL-VP Commodore Wagon.........
what would you all do?
Mmm, been there myself mate.
I personally would trade up, it might not be what you want to do right now but there will be time later on for doin up old classics, praticality is more important and you'll find money will become scarce too.
Well, that's what i told myself when i sold my wb anyway!
trade up dude, cos think about it whats going to get u from a 2 b reliably?
sure the kingswood may be relaible but chances are that a vn/p will work out a lot cheaper and also you'll use less fuel cos 253's arn't exactly good on fuel i know cos i have one.
We got rep back, yaaay!
yeah guess so i really dont wanna but yeah..................ok who wants to swap lol.......
but then again should i do i trade or should i sell up the kingy? i suppose selling it i would have more options in what i wanna buy......
sell it and buy a VN/VP v8?
A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention in human history, with the possible exception of handguns and tequila.
yeh mate sell up and get a vn/p 6... something reliable and cheap to run untill u have all the baby stuff sorted out
PS and congrats to u and ur missus
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
yeah im thinking its wise to sell it.............yeah will prob look at a VP wagon, be a bonus if its an 8!
id rather VP unless im lucky enough to find a V8, im not a great fan of the VN V6
family first for sure mate, I'd trade up, petrols gunna kill ya if u got another mouth to feed
Never Forget You're Unique... Just Like Everyone Else
I'd Rather Roar Than Whistle
Get a vn/vp on gas??
Less power, but babys r ###in expensive!
I read in newspapers they cost like $100'000 with shit like doctors, nappies, food, essentials, kots etc etc...every 2 years n shit, ...makes ya wonder lol
ok whose got a VP wagon for sale ! hahahah
i like the look of VP front end better........and didnt they have a slightly stronger or better gear box
VN - Turbo Hydramatic 700 (THM700)
VP - GM Hydra-Matic 4L60
Same ratios
Just a change in names because of the release of the electronic version (4L60e). They renamed the THM-700R4 the 4L60 when the 4L60e gearbox was developed.
