    Default Pedders Suspension

Does anyone know if that Pedders SportsRyder suspension is any good? or if can be fitted to a VN?
    A friend said that they're coil-overs basically.

    Any opinions?

i havent heard any bad reports about Pedders suspension.... it seems most go for other brands like King Springs, Monroe Shocks.... maybe you could do the rounds of the different suspension places .... you can phone the Office Of Fair Trading and ask if many complaints have been sent to them about Pedders..... as far I know they will tell you if there's been complaints made ....

Got the SportsRyders on my VR with the sway bar and it makes a HUGE difference over the stock set.

    Hi,

Check out whiteline's range of suspension upgrades before you consider pedders. www.whiteline.com.au

Shop around on prices on their parts there seems to be huge variation in their prices between stores.

Whiteline also offer suspension kits in stages depending on your budget etc.

They also have a good reproduced article from Street Commodores on the site as well. http://www.whiteline.com.au/articles...1_Blown_1a.htm

    cheers
    Scott

Depending on how low you're going you may need shortened shocks. Up to about 40mm you'll be ok. Go any lower and you should be replacing shocks too. You might want to consider replacing the shocks anyway considering its a 10 year old car.

Also a rear camber kit would be a good idea. Personally I'd be doing this whether I was lowering the car or not.

I'd avoid pedders, their products aren't bad, but they are insanely dear.

I bought a full set of pedders SportsRyder shocks for my VN S, with new bushings and shock mounts it cost me close to $1000. They werent cheap but very nice shocks.
Cant complain about the quality, they lasted me two or three years before I sold it with no complaints.

Getting my car dumped on Pedders on Monday. Might not have chosen them usually but I know a Pedders Sales Rep and got shocks and springs for $190!

But my first car had Pedders Sports Ryders and I thought they were pretty good. I little on the firm side but I can live with that.

My VT has been riding on SportsRyder since i upgraded it in the first week i got the car. Haven't looked back since. It is a beautiful drive although you feel every bump! But you get that with a lowered car!

Mainly if your spring rate is too high. Try putting in swaybars and dropping the spring rate a bit.

i have a high opinion of it.........i got mine dumped just over an inch with the pedders sports ryder package.........with a front strut brace........handles like beauty!!!! is obviously a little stiff over bumps but yeah thats the point it handles so well though!!! tight shockers basically

yeah but you get what you pay for........you would hardly want your shocks collapsing or your springs snapping and your car losing it! i think you would find that a set of king springs and DECENT shocks etc FITTED wouldnt be that much less expensive.......and i dont mean monroe gt gas shockers either...........i kinda see them as cheapies
