buying 2nd hand engine (what to ask)

i might be getting a 2nd hand 5L engine for my car

what should i look for and what should i ask

ask to hear it running if possible, how many ks the cars done(to give a idea)
any warrenty with it and then remove your vns motor and give it to me


whats wrong with it and if u wanna get rid of it how much would you want?
as i can be in the market for the motor in comming weeks

i will get the 5L i got cheaked out if its worth rebuilding (it still runs)
just want to get all the options sussed b4 i spend my hard earned

Look for smoke, could mean bad piston rings, listen for any knocks or strange noises, and give it a few good revs.
