how do they decide on how much damage to a car has to be done before they will a car

If the chassis is twisted its an automatic write off and of course if the damage is to an extent thats worth more then the value of the car to fix then its a repairable write off. Hope that helps

From memory if the damage is more than 75% of the value of the car,then it is written off.
