Ok Ive had this problem for about 4 months now. I sprayed clear coat on my car and for about 2 weeks it turned the car from a decent car to a really nice car. Then it began to go yellow. Which on a blue car . I now have a large problem as I dont want to respray it unless I can get it down very cheaply. So one has anyone had this trouble before and solved it? Or am I going to have to buy a whole lot of sand paper and begin sanding and priming? I have used 1000 grit sand paper with watered down polish which did work quite well but began to get down to the primer of the car so it looked even worse by the end of the time. Ive tried using some chemicals but same problem. I unfortunally am seeing a respray in the near future but even still. I am going to call the paint company and see what they have to say about the whole matter. But any help is much appriciated. Thanks
Sounds like paintwork wasn't cleaning when you sprayed the clear coat. Just strange that it is yellow, After spraying did you just rub it down in thinners?
Could also of been off clear coat perhaps?
Could be an oppurtunity and an excuse to give the old girl a rub back and complete repsray![]()

yeh followed all the directions its started to peel and go matt. Its very nasty. But yeh i think a respray is in order. Probably do a sle style on her
i once got a custom cartoon paint job on a motor cycle helmet .... after a few weeks i thought i would spray clear on it to make it look real shiney and snazy ... just after i sprayed on the clear, the clear seemed to expand and rise up in a cobweb look .... i asked my painter why did this happen .... he asked me what clear did i use ... then told me it happened cos i used a different brand of clear than the brand of paint .... had i used the same brand, it would not have happened...
ive heard acrylic clear on 2pac paint wont go and vice versa, that may be your prob
We got rep back, yaaay!
Dam i hate and paint its problems! i would ring the company that the paint is from- they have been very helpful with me
lol get them to pay for a respray . on the directions it doesnt say that the paints wouldnt work. It said acrylics are fine which is whats on my car so why did it stuff up. Best thing I can hope for is that they pay to respray it which wont happen but hey a phone calls only 25c
